If you're writing about a struggling cutting, a little context goes a long way: which plant it is, whether it's rooting in water, soil or moss, roughly how long it's been going, and what the stem and leaves look like right now. With those four details we can usually point you to the exact guide — most propagation problems trace back to a handful of causes covered in our rot guide and troubleshooting checklist.
